Upon reaching San Luis Obispo, home to Cal Poly University and part of the historic mission trail, you'll see the influence of Spanish and Mexican architecture. From there, you'll board the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner for a scenic ride to Santa Barbara, with parts of the journey hugging the stunning coastline.
