Day 1
Salt Lake City
Arrive in Salt Lake City, where you’ll proceed to your hotel and enjoy some time on your own in the afternoon to either relax or explore your surroundings. In the evening, meet your fellow travellers tonight for a welcome party where you’ll meet with your Tour Director at the hotel.

Day 2
Salt Lake City – Blackfoot – Jackson
Today, head towards Idaho - the "Potato Capital of the World", learn about its rich history and culture as you visit the Potato Museum as well as lunch during your time here. Onwards you will make your way to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Take a step back in time as you walk through the town’s landmark arch of tangled elk antlers as you explore the Town Square.

Day 3
Jackson – Grand Teton National Park – Yellowstone National Park
Today sees you rise early and journey down to the Snake River for an optional fun and educational wilderness float trip (seasonal). Later on, discover the dramatic Grand Teton National Park with the majestic Teton Range beyond the alpine forests.

Day 4
Yellowstone National Park
Spend the day sightseeing and exploring in Yellowstone National Park, discovering its many natural wonders such as Yellowstone Falls, the bubbling mud pools and Old Faithful. The incredible sights, sounds and experiences of today will create memories that will last a lifetime – this awe-inspiring park is one of America’s best-loved due to its breath-taking vistas and unspoiled iconic landmarks. You’ll join a local specialist for a guided walk around the boardwalks of the park to learn about the wildlife and geology of your surroundings. End today with a three-course dinner at your hotel.

Day 5
Yellowstone National Park – Cody – Sheridan
Bid farewell to Yellowstone this morning to journey east towards Cody, named for its most famous inhabitant, Buffalo Bill. Dive into the fascinating history of the American West at the Buffalo Bill Centre of the West and discover all about the culture of the cowboy and Plains Indians. From here, make your way to Sheridan to check-in at your hotel and relax.

Day 6
Sheridan – Keystone – Rapid City
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast then continue your journey towards Gilette in Wyoming where you will visit the Durham Bison Ranch - the world's largest and oldest working buffalo ranches. Enjoy a fantastic tour of the 55,000 acre sprawl of farms which houses over 3,000 bisons and ending with a lunch. Onwards to South Dakota to visit the Crazy Horse Memorial which stands as a tribute to the legendary Lakota leader Crazy Horse, carved into the mountain. The evening is free to explore at your leisure.

Day 7
Rapid City – Badlands National Park – Rapid City
Travel to the past and experience the Oglala Lakota Living History Village, an amazing insight of the culture and indigenous knowledge of Lakota Country on Pine Ridge Reservation. Walk with your local guide through the displays of living quarters and meet local artists for storytelling through their crafts. Later on visit the Ben Reifel Visitor Center before embarking on your scenic drive through Badlands National Park. Have the chance to learn about the local earth science and wildlife at the Fossil Preparation Lab. Take an optional trip to the Mount Rushmore Lighting Ceremony for a chance to see the landmark from a different perspective.

Day 8
Rapid City – Black Hills – Rapid City
Today head to the Black Hills of South Dakota and Mount Rushmore – one of the most recognisable attractions in America that took around 400 artisans 14 years to produce. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner featuring an American Indian dancer with your group.

Day 9
Rapid City - Denver
You can choose to end your tour in Rapid City and perhaps hop on a domestic flight to another part of the US, or take the coach and be dropped off at Denver Airport.
Your arrival into Denver airport will be approximately 4:30pm, so please be aware when booking your flights that the departure flight should be no earlier than 7:30pm. An additional night in Denver may be required dependent on flight times.
