Day 1
Portland
To help you get the most from this holiday, we have included an extra night before the tour starts, which allows for better flight connections and helps you adjust to the time difference. Transfer to your hotel and have a relaxing evening.

Day 2
Portland
You have a free day to find your feet, get your bearings and acclimatise after your flight. Washington Park is a lovely place to stroll in the freshair, with highlights being the serene Japanese Garden and World Forestry Center. There is also the Oregon Historical Museum, the Portland Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Craft and the Oregon Museum of Science where you can have a fascinating tour of the submarine USS Blueback. There are also several micro-breweries and distilleries, where you can try out the local brews and enjoy the renowned food of this city.
At 6pm, you’ll attend a welcome reception to meet your tour guide and fellow travelers at the hotel.

Day 3
Columbia River Gorge
Embark on a full-day of spectacular scenic beauty as you take a a sightseeing trip of the Columbia River Gorge. Waterfalls tumble from the Basalt cliffs that line the highway. Incredible views can be seen from the Crown Point. Later, you'll enjoy some free time as you stop for lunch along the "Fruit Loop". Visit Timberland Lodge with great views of Mt Hood. This evening enjoy a delicious dinner with your tour group.

Day 4
Portland
Today it's all about Portland. This morning you'll join a local specialist who will tell you all about the Pearle District on a walking orientation tour of the city. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore Portland at your own pace.

Day 5
Portland – Newport
This morning you'll visit the international Rose Test Garden, the oldest public rose test garden in America. Heading late morning for the coastal town of Newport stopping for lunch en-route in Corvallis. Later join a sea life cruise where you’ll be accompanied by a local specialist to tell you about the marine life, birds and your surroundings. The evening is leisure time for you to use as you wish.

Day 6
Newport - Seaside
Heading north today along the Oregon coast, you'll enjoy lunch in Williamette Valley where you’ll be treated to a tour from the owners and a tasting at their local winery followed by a gourmet meal. Then it's onto the official end of the Lewis and Clark Trail, the West coast family favorite town of Seaside.

Day 7
Seaside - Olympic National Park
Board a restored street car and take a ride along the Astoria Riverfront. Make your way afterwards to Olympic National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve which contains three distinctive ecosystems. Then you’ll meet Harvest Moon, a local specialist who will share tribal legends and stories about the Quinault people with you.

Day 8
Olympic National Park
Enter the Hoh Rainforest this morning, one of the world’s few remaining (and largest) temperate rainforests where you can trek to the ‘Hall of Mosses’ – an eerie portion of the rainforest where trees and branches are dripping with moss. The afternoon is time at leisure enjoy the lodge or perhaps some time hiking or fishing.

Day 9
Olympic National Park – Seattle
Head for the bright lights of Seattle today stopping for lunch in Olympia, the state capital. Make your way by ferry across Puget Sound to the Emerald City. Enjoy the evening at your own pace.

Day 10
Seattle sightseeing
Get your caffeine fix on a guided coffee tasting tour of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. The rest of the days gives you a choice of sightseeing activities. Why not climb to the top of the Space needle, or view the glass sculptures of Chiculy Garden and Glass art Museum?

Day 11
Seattle free time
Enjoy some downtime today. They'll be plenty of time for some last minute shopping. Or perhaps a visit to Pike Place market to experience the sounds, sights and flavors of this landmark that is over 100 years old. Later head back to the hotel for a farewell dinner with your group.

Seattle
Today marks the end of your trip – you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
