Washington DC – Gettysburg – Niagara Falls (429 miles)
Today you’ll drive north-west into Upstate New York, and en route you can visit Gettysburg where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous speech in 1863. You’ll continue to Buffalo and then over the border into Canada to the mighty Niagara Falls.

Yellowstone – Grand Teton – Salt Lake City (337 miles)
This morning you will take the scenic drive through Grand Teton National Park, where mountains soar to 13,000 feet. Visit the Snake River Outlook for stunning views, then arrive in Salt Lake City. You will have the afternoon to see the sights such as Temple Square and the Tabernacle.

Salt Lake City – Bryce Canyon (268 miles)

A full day in the City of Angels so decide if you want to take a tour of Universal Studios, cycle in the Hollywood Hills or do a bus tour of movie sites and movie star homes (all attractions at extra charge). Los Angeles Area – Malibu – Santa Barbara – San Simeon (177 miles)
Head north up the Pacific Coast through some of the famed seaside resorts. A lunch stop in Santa Barbara is a must, with its pretty Spanish-influenced lanes and palm-lined white sandy beaches. Then continue along the coast for your overnight stay.

Indulge in shopping or a historic cable car ride from Union Square to Nob Hill, leading to Russian Hill's scenic Coolbrith Park with views of the Financial District. Visit Lombard Street, capturing its famous curves and stunning bay views. Walk to Fisherman's Wharf, home to seafood, sea lions, and attractions like PIER 39, and ferries to Alcatraz. Stroll west to Ghirardelli Square, and onwards to Marina Green and Crissy Field for sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito across the bay. Carry on west to explore the Palace of Fine Arts with its beautiful architecture and serene atmosphere.
