Casinos and Hotels in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Strip is littered with aesthetically spectacular, deluxe hotels offering far more than just a place to sleep! With the majority of big name hotels comprising vast casinos, gastronomic restaurants, numerous shops, indulgent spas, fantastic nightclubs and exciting entertainment options, guests have everything they could possibly need, all under one roof (though exploring more of ‘Sin City’ is obviously highly recommended!)

International themes are common among the Strip’s hotels, and so walking down the bustling Boulevard will feel like a global exploration! Of course, not everyone wishes to stay in the tourism-focused, brightly lit centre of Vegas, so there are plenty of quieter (and less expensive) accommodation options Downtown, and on the city’s outskirts.

The five Most Popular Casino-Hotels on the Vegas Strip

  • Caesars Palace: Arguably the grandest of all Las Vegas hotels, the luxurious Caesars Palace is designed to encompass the magnificent spectacular of ancient Greece and its mythologies. Located on the west side of the Strip, the 166,000 square foot of Caesars’ towering white premises boasts 3,960 hotel rooms, a 129,000 square foot casino, vast gardens, several swimming pools and that’s not all. Additionally, Caesars features a popular nightclub (Pure), a retail area (The Forum Shops), 26 fine eateries, a globally renowned spa, a convention facility, and a 4,296-seat entertainment complex: The Coliseum. Established top class music acts such as Elton John, Cher, Bette Midler and Celine Dion, perform regularly in this stately venue.
  • Bellagio: Next door to Caesars, you will find Bellagio – a smaller high-end resort, and 12 time-consecutive winner of the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award for its restaurant and lodgings. Visitors are often so stunned by the vast ‘Fiori Di Como’ lobby ceiling – comprising 2,000 hand-blown, glass flowers – they temporarily forget there’s plenty more to see within. Bellagio boasts The Bank nightclub, a conservatory, beautiful botanical gardens, a gallery of fine art, salon and spa and of course, a casino (a favourite haunt of professional poker players, due to the table limits being some of the highest available in Vegas). Even those who do not choose to stay at this hotel should stop by for an evening during their trip, to enjoy the stunning Fountains of Bellagio, which dance in time to bright lights and music.
  • New York New York: As suggested by its name, this Strip-topping, 84,000 square foot hotel-casino resort pays homage to the concrete jungle of New York. Often referred to as ‘the little Big Apple’, New York New York comprises architecture resembling the skyline of its muse (including a 50 foot mock Statue of Liberty and faux Times Square), woven together by the mammoth thrilling ride The Roller Coaster. Aside from this novel spectacle, tourists are drawn to New York New York for its romantic spa suites, speciality shopping area, duelling piano entertainment, Coyote Ugly bar, (inspired by the film of the same name), and Cirque du Soleil’s tantalising, adult Zumanity show. Just like NY the city, this venue never sleeps.
  • MGM Grand: Comprising 30 floors and boasting more than 5,000 artfully modern guest rooms, the towering blue MGM Grand is the third largest hotel in the world.  Illuminated green at night, this hotel-meets-entertainment-complex – owned by the American media company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer – was once entirely Wizard of OZ themed, but has since been developed to appeal to a wider audience. ‘Maximum Vegas’ is the slogan employed in the promotion of the MGM Grand, for it houses endless delights for its visitors, including the largest casino in the whole of Clark County. Five outdoor swimming pools, waterfalls, a garden area, the Grand Spa, numerous shops, several nightclubs, 19 restaurants (including the award-winning L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, the eatery of France’s Chef of the Century) and an impressive business centre, also feature here.
  • The Venetian: South of the Strip, tourists can enjoy the splendour of Italy at The Venetian Resort, designed to replicate the royal House of Medici. Featuring its very own imitation St Mark’s Campanile tower, The Venetian is crafted in aged stonework and imported marble, and its extravagant palate of soft gold and cream ensures the most indulgent of stays for its 4,000+ guests. Italian renaissance is also captured through the hotel’s Grand Canal, on which one can enjoy a peaceful gondola ride. Additionally, The Venetian comprises top class restaurants, a Madam Tussauds Wax Museum, the much-loved TOA nightclub and dayclub (an 18,000 square foot luxury pool and cabana rooftop area), and world class entertainment in the form of its resident shows Soul2Soul and Rock of Ages.
