Overview

The Royal Sonesta Kaua'i Resort Lihue (formerly the Kauai Marriott Resort) is nestled on the sugary sands of Kalapaki Bay on the island of Kuaui, this resort oozes that fun yet relaxing Hawaiian vibe, offering idyllic views of the sparkling ocean and tropical forest-clad hills.

We love the swimming pool here – overlooking the ocean, this resort is home to one of Hawaii’s largest family friendly pools, with tropical surroundings, cool water features, and even a kid’s pool. The golden beach offers a splendid spot for thrilling water sports too, including surfing, kayaking, and swimming.

The comfortable bedrooms provide perfect place to rest your head after sipping on sunset cocktails at Kukui’s On Kalapaki Beach, or tucking into sumptuous local island cuisine at Duke’s Kauai. Golf enthusiasts will love the Jack Nicklaus designed championship course, its 18 holes dotted around mango and guava groves, whilst there’s also the chance to relax with a rejuvenating spa treatment and yoga.

Being just a stones throw from the airport yet located in an idyllic bay, this is the perfect location for a few days stay on Kauai.
