Day 1

Fly into Honolulu, overnight in Waikiki, Ohau

Land in Honolulu and welcome the warm embrace of Hawaii’s Aloha spirit, donning a traditional flower lei garland and breathing in the tropical air. Explore Waikiki’s golden beaches before arriving at the Hawaiian-style Welcome Reception and greet your Tour Director.

Overnight: Aston Waikiki Beach, Welcome Dinner

Day 2

Waikiki, Ohau

Today you’ll visit Pearl Harbour and see the USS Arizona Memorial and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Whilst downtown Honolulu, see the State Capitol Building, Iolani Palace and King Kamehameha I Statue before enjoying the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Overnight: Aston Waikiki Beach, Breakfast

Day 3

Oahu – Kona – Keauho Bay, Hawaii Island

Hop on a quick flight to the Big Island of Hawaii as you commence an orientation tour of the animated seaside village of Kailua-Kona; once the Hawaiian royalty playground. Meet your Local Expert as you tour a coffee plantation for a real insight into Kona’s coffee culture. Return back to your resort and meet with another Local Expert who will accompany you to the Manta Ray Learning Centre where you’ll learn and understand these exquisite marine creatures before savouring the rich island flavours at the hotel’s Rays on the Bay.

Day 4

Keauhou Bay, Hawaii Island

Enjoy today at pleasure as you explore the main island. For those adventure seekers explore the natural paradise of The Big Island and take to the skies in a helicopter tour for an unforgettable experience (optional extra). Alternatively snorkel through the crystal-clear waters of Kealakekua Bay on a half day cruise (optional extra).

Day 5

Keauhou Bay – Hawaii Volcanoes National Park – Hilo – Kaanapali Beach, Maui

This morning you’ll set off for views of Hawaii’s impressive volcanic landscape, stopping off at the southernmost bakery in the US for a delectable malasada or two! Visit the UNESCO-listed Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to understand the geology of the islands. Marvel at Halema’uma’u Crater as it serves as a backdrop for your lunch at The Rim restaurant for a delicious lunch. This afternoon you’ll board your flight to Maui.

Day 6

Kaanapali Beach, Maui

A full day in the Valley Isle lets you meet the conservation naturalists of Maui Ocean Centre, home of the largest selection of Hawaiian green sea turtles, sharks, live Pacific corals and thousands of tropical fish. Immerse yourself in the sustainable agricultural development as you’ll visit a local farm and savour a Hawaiian “Be My Guest” lunch with local produce and have the opportunity to “Connect with Locals”. Enjoy a stroll through Whalers Village or explore the old town Lahaina and take your pick from the many restaurants.

Day 7

Kaanapali Beach, Maui

Wake up with the glorious sun and enjoy today at leisure with a Mai Tai in hand. Early risers can plan a once in a lifetime hike to the summit of Haleakala Volcano as you stand above the clouds, catching the awe-inspiring sunrise. We recommend a brilliant whale watching cruise, led by a team of Pacific Whale Foundation’s certified Marine Naturalists, you’ll learn the about humpback whales and their behaviours. Every trip is unique as past tours have witnessed mothers and calves interacting and males competing for females. This evening, celebrate a lively Luau and Farewell Dinner with your fellow companions.

Day 8

Kaanapali Beach, Maui

Enjoy breakfast before flying home from Maui. Take your transfer to the airport or perhaps stay a few extra nights.
