As a National Historical Landmark and one of the most distinctive resort hotels in North America, The Ahwahnee (formerly The Majestic Yosmite Hotel) is well known for its great granite façade, striking beamed ceilings, massive stone hearths, richly colored Native American artwork, and finely appointed rooms. Featuring 123 rooms, comprised of 99 hotel rooms, parlors and suites and 24 cottages, The Majestic Yosmite Hotel offers a perfect balance of history, hospitality and elegance. Located within the Yosemite National Park with spectacular views of Yosemite falls, Half Dome and Glacier point, just 1.5 miles from the Yosemite Visitor Centre.

Built at a time when individual living space was much smaller, the sleeping accommodations at The Ahwahnee are not of the same proportion of modern-day hotels. This difference in size is more than offset by the grand scale of the public space and the rich décor that defines the property

Hotel Rooms

  • Standard Hotel rooms in the main building are comfortably appointed and offer limited views
  • Classic Hotel Rooms are appointed in rich fabrics, warm woods and Native American motifs.of Yosemite Valley’s stunning scenery including Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point. ADA rooms also available.
  • Featured Hotel Rooms offer balconies with spectacular views of the cliffs and waterfalls. Balconies are shared with the adjoinging room.

Parlors

  • The four parlors are luxuriously furnished and provide unparalleled views of the most spectacular features of the valley. The parlors combine with hotel rooms to create suites. (Not available individually)

 

  • TheDining Room features a 34-foot high ceiling with large sugar pine trestles and ceiling-to-floor windows framed with stained glass.
  • The Great Lounge is 77 feet long, 51 feet wide with 24-foot-high ceilings. Ten floor-to-ceiling windows topped with stained glass panels, bathe the Lounge in light during the day. Wrought-iron chandeliers provide a warm glow in the evenings

 

  • Gift shop, Sweet Shop, bar, an outdoor heated swimming pool (for use by hotel guests only) and tennis courts. Complimentary valet parking is provided on the premises
