Things To Do and Excursions in San Diego
San Diego Zoo
Home to over 3700 animals, and more giant pandas than any other zoo in America, San Diego Zoo is vast, to say the least. Situated in Balboa Park, this is a great place to bring the kids. A visit to San Diego without stopping by this renowned attraction truly isn’t complete. There’s even a guided tour bus, giving you the opportunity to see every inch of this incredible wildlife haven.
Coronado
Luxurious and upscale, Coronado is a nearby beach resort which is famous for its quaint ambience and perfect coastline. If you’re a movie buff, you may even recognise the famous Hotel del Coronado as the setting for the Marilyn Monroe film Some Like It Hot. Visit here for shopping, cute restaurants and picturesque scenery.
Beaches
Mission and Pacific are the two most prominent and famous beaches in San Diego, offering visitors seemingly endless miles of golden sands and lapping waters. If you’re up for something a bit more energetic, surfing is popular here and well worth trying if you’re in the mood for an adrenalin-fuelled activity. Of course, there are quieter spots too if you want to just relax and enjoy the view. La Jolla is also a popular beach destination, boasting a dramatic coastline and a casual vibe.
